The Mission Beach Women’s Club becomes New Orleans famous Preservation Hall for one night, Wednesday evening, April 27 from 6-9pm. The Mission Bay High Preservationists band will perform authentic New Orleans style jazz.
The Preservationists just returned from a spring break trip to the Big Easy, New Orleans, performing in a city known for music tradition. The 11 piece jazz band performed their New Orleans Song Book at famed Preservation Hall on two occasions and played at two clubs before returning to San Diego.
The band will perform their New Orleans Song Book during Jazz at Night guests. Tickets for the April 27th event are $25, seniors and military. Beer, wine and light refreshments are available.
The music program at Mission Bay High has inspired student for the last 50 years. Under the direction pf Jean-Paul Balmat, students learn to perform, arrange and direct, giving them an amazing start to their creative futures.
Jazz at Night is sponsored by La Jolla Sunrise Rotary. La Jolla Sunrise Rotary supports San Pasqual Academy, the Coast Walk Trail, and also rebuilt Fire Station 13 in La Jolla. All proceeds go to the Preservationists of Mission Bay High. Mission Beach Women’s Club made the venue available for this event.
